Rouse should have been thrown out of the game for that hit. He lowered his friggin helmet. VPISU football is an embarassment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll agree with the Chris Ellis comments, he did act like a thug tonight. But that hit was more the running back from Wake's fault more than anything. He lowered his helmet into Rouse right before he got hit.

And no, i'm not trying to justify a redneck play, but this wasn't one. I would've been the first one to tell you that they acted like a bunch of thugs after the BC game, but i believe that you are wrong on this one.

I just got home from the game and it was a great night for football , chilly but not COLD and no wind . The stands were packed but then again the stadium only seats 35,000 . I was at the 30 yd line 17 rows up , great seats . The hit by Rouse was a football hit , it is a violent sport , there will be collisions . Tech has gotten a thug image thanks to a handful of players . It is the enviroment they are brought up in and sadly thugs are role models to alot of kids these days . Both teams were talking trash and that just gets the thug attitude going stromg . For every thugish play there were 10 that players picked someone up or slapped hands w/ them . I would love to see it out of sports but I'm not holding my breath .
Life is a grindstone . Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up , depends on what we are made of .

By the way, not my point. Wake Forest is Wake Forest, they do not show up on big games.... and again, they didn't show up last night. Tech ran all over them......

Sure, Wake lost 2 big games to VT and Clemson 27-17. But they've also won what I would consider some pretty good game also.

They beat BC 21-14, and FSU 30-0. I know the Noles are having a rough season, but still to beat them by 30 and shutting them out is not shabby. And they also handled an Ole Miss team that gave Auburn, UGA, Bama, and LSU ALL they wanted 27-3 at Ole Miss.

IMO if Glennon has a little time to throw with the D they have VT is playing the best ball of anyone in the ACC right now.

Wake's a solid team. Nobody should be trying to downgrade what they've accomplished. They just don't have the athletes to compete fully. Grobe is without a doubt coach of the year.
